As Congress prepares to take a carving knife to programs that help the poor, middle class and the most vulnerable and needy in our society. Pushed forwrd by the fiscal conservatives or as I like to call them, for short, the "Fiscal-Cons". A fiscal-con hates all non-defense goverment spending. If it helps people they hate it.
Before these Fiscal-Cons are allow to go and begin to cut spending on programs such as Medicaid or home heating assistants or any program designed to help people. We need to establish a 9/11 style Commission to investigate Pentagon Spending, waste and abuse. The problems in the Pentagon are far greater then $600 hammers and $1000 toilet seats we have all heard about. The waste and abuse in the Pentagon are in the hundreds of billions of dollars if not more.
I believe the only way to truely get to the bottom of the Black Hole is to name a truely Independant Commission, with full supeana power and NO Military or defense industry members, to investigate where all OUR money went. Before we deny anyone healthcare or heat in the winter.
Maybe We can even afford to throw in the $300 million needed to prevent any person living with hiv/aids from being put on a waiting list for medications.
