Barney Frank for President '08

There are times in history when a People call on an Individual for leadership in a great struggle. Often times these are Individuals of Intellect and humility. But the crys and suffering to the people cannot be ignored or denied and sacrifice is sometimes the burden of Leadership.
It is for this reason I call on Barney Frank to run for President of the United States in 2008.
I always thought of Barney Frank over the years that he was a Man capable of great thoughtfulness and speaks with Honesty and in good faith.
Now Barney does have a small ethical lapse years ago when a helping hand was betrayed. but an incident like that, years ago, can not be any worse then being... say... a drunken failure by forty years old. Like some politicians, who have managed to reach extremly high office of late.

Slight of Hand

With the increases in the cost of health care out pacing the increase in wages and the ranks of uninsured climbing as budgets and access are restricted. Anyone who does not see that the Social Security debate was a smoke screen to cover the true crisis that is health care in this country. Does not truely understand this Administration.

What is "Normal"

I read a quote in a story today about California passing a Gay Marriage Law. The question of what Arnold will do is for another day, even though if what he says about not being beholden to special interests is true he will sign it, while I was reading the article I can across a quote by someone opposed to the bill. It said

"Marriage should be between a man and a woman, end of story. Next issue," insisted Assemblyman Dennis Mountjoy (R-Monrovia). "It's not about civil rights or personal rights, it's about acceptance. They want to be accepted as normal. They are not normal."

Now I've heard this normal argument before but my answer to these people has been that if you look to any distant land or foriegn culture across this vast planet or to anytime in the long history of Man. There have always Gay People. To have a society without Gay People would be Abnormal.

Big Fat F

I don't think it's fair to accuse the president of indifference or even racism in the respose to Huricane Katrina. But where he can be Judged and must be Judged harshly is the government's response to it. A president who has been given billions of dollars to ensure this country's preparedness in the face of disaster, be it Natural or terror, deserves a big red F.

Get the truth OUT!

I think I would like to start a Movement. I doubt I will live to see this movement succeed.
But I beleive that every high school in the country should have a required class on the Nazi persecution of Homosexuals.
I mean, what would be the Rights argument against it? Probably confuse the issue with vague numbers and fine-line definition of what constitutes a Holocaust and whether Homosexuals as a group quailfy as victims of a Holocaust.
But, it would force into the daylight the Truth about the suffering of homosexual friends, brother, sisters, mothers, fathers and lovers under hitler's rule. Does the far conservative right want to align themselves with the teaching of a mad man?
