A New American Failure

It should be abundantly clear by now (Neo-cons, your excused. You'll never learn.) that when it comes to fighting a War of choice, democracies suck. There is no more formatable fighting force then a democracy defending itself from outside aggressors.
But going out and starting a war? Maybe tomorrow or when attacked. If it quick and flashy and makes us feel good. If we see ourselves as the "white hats", the Heros swooping in at the end of the movie to save the day with fresh shiney soldier jumping from helocopters just before they touch down and the credits start to roll.
The People of Democracy don't have the time or the patients to have to pay attention to our own government going out and starting a pre-emptive war. We put people in power to figure these things out to avoid wars, because as far as most of us are concerned the mortage is due the kids are late for soccer and the President is pre-empting Desperate Houswives.
We don't want to come home at night and see heartache and bloodshed. We don't want to think about the family down the street that will never be the same when a child is lost to War. Especially if it is a war that did not need to be, waged by those who believe that War is a legitimate tool of International deplomacy. Kind of a "Pro-Choice for War". PREVIOUS POST: There is no doubt, I know in my mind and I hope in the mind of most thoughtful people, that the Neo-cons, lead by three elders,Cheney,Wolfiwitz and Rumsfeld, that are the power behind George Bush, came to power with the intent of using Iraq as the first step in a plan for US Global Military Domination. Although that sounds like some kind of scary secret conspiricy and it is scary but it's definitly no secret. The blue print for almost everything you've seen from this administration has been located at The Project for a new American Century website. You can even see why Donald Rumsfeld refused to send enough troops into Iraq. He was trying to prove the point of a smaller more flexable and mobile first strike force to be able to work as "Constables" for the world. So it goes without saying that some soldiers who died in Iraq Have given up there lives in pursuit of an Ideological theory.Where the Neo-cons failed is in thinking the first steps in a longterm goal, like what they invision, can start by jumping into Pre-emptive war which could only result in feeling of distrust from a gobal population that probably is looking for a shining example of what is good and honorable about a Democracy of many cultures living under the Rule of Law.
If they had used the militar's rapid response capabilities as a tool of good works. To step in when the horrors of genocide appear around the globe, or escort relief supplies to refuges of civil war. If the Neo-con had start by insuring that the United States was seen as a gobal white hat welcome whenever kaos or anarchy ruled. They might have fially won the trust of the American People and the gobal community for more grand plans of liberating oppressed people form the world's worst dictators and spreading democracy.
However whatever merit or noble motives they may try to use. I'm more likely to believe that this crowd is motivated by the needs of corporate interests then a vision of a better world.
But, in any of measure of the world we now find ourslves in. The Neo-con American Century is a Failure.
