In the west we have fight brewing between the states, environmentalists and farmers. In the east some states like Georgia are suffering from severe droughts. Fresh water is only going to be harder to come by. Not to mention globally where warming is melting the glaciers that supply 70% of the world population with drinking water.
So I have a suggestion for the coming stimulus package. Two huge desalinization plants. One on the east coast and one on the west coast and the infrastructure to support and distribute it.
